As overweight increases to be concern people start to seek low fat chocolate chips cookies. It is hard not to eat chocolate at all isn’t it? Most recipes will include for example flourless, eggless or non gluten ingredients. It is true that they contribute much calories and fat despite with great taste. But we don’t need too worry. Such low fat recipes have proved to preserve the taste at best. However not all low fat recipes don’t use flour or egg at all. Following recipe we can work at home.
First we need to prepare ingredients including ½ cup of granulated sugar, 2 table spoon butter, melted, 1 egg white, 2 table spoon apple sauce, 1 tea spoon vanilla extract, ½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup whole wheat pastry flour, ½ cup all purpose flour, 1/3 tea spoon baking soda, 1/8 tea spoon salt and ½ cup mini chocolate chips.
First preheat oven to 350 degree F and line two cookie sheets with non stick silicone baking liners. Next, combine baking soda, salt and flour in a large bowl and stir until blended evenly. In separate bowl whisk butter, sugar, egg white, apple sauce and vanilla until turning into light and fluffy. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet one in two additions until the batter blended well. Fold in chocolate chips and drop by level spoonfuls about 1 inch apart on baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and remove from the oven. Give 5 minutes before remove them form the pans and cool on the wire racks. Finally, the low fat chocolate chip cookies ready to serve.
