Chocolate and peanut butter is perfect combination of sweet, bitter and salt blended well in a desserts. It is popular in desserts we can find in many stores and markets with various combination of ingredients and decoration. Some brands are favorable by some people and actually they are tasty enough. However chocolate and peanut butter can be made at home. Just search some recipes in Google and practice one of them which we found to be workable.
Some of them can be tried at home as follow. Prepare ingredients including 16 ounces honey roasted peanuts, 1 table spoon vanilla extract, 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (one 12 ounce bag or 12 ounce chopped chocolate) and pinch of salt for optional.
Next follow the directions. First, process the peanuts in a food processor using high power until they turn to be creamy and smooth. These peanuts will get crushed and crushed into fine powder,. Paste and ticker paste, a “big dough ball” according to the recipe and then it will break down into runnier peanut butter. This process will continue for about one or two minutes more and ensure that peanut butter is smooth enough.
Add chocolate chips (we can start with one or two cups chips, optional) , vanilla, salt (optional) and process them for 2 to 4 minutes or until they have been smooth enough. We may also ad bourbon or rum and chocolate chips all at once in the machine running. Remove the peanut butter into a container with a lid then store it in refrigerator or at room temperature. It will firm up but stay soft. We can store it long enough to serve in next days.
Peanut butter has unique salty taste so many people who use this recipe don’t add any salt again. Combination of sweet, bitter and salt will make our day so special. This dessert is best served with hot coffee or a glass of milk.
