Actually we can make a chocolate chip cookies according to four to five basic ingredients. First to mention is butter. Fat contained in butter play important role for creating flavor and tendernes. In addition, moisture produced by butter is important too to hold cookie together and to create tenderness. The second is sugar. It is important to give sweetness and structure in the cookie. Use of brown sugar enables cookies moisture and chew. Third is egg. To make perfect cookies large eg is recommended. Fourth is flour. It is better to use all purpose flour and the last is chocolate. It is availabkle in chip or chunks. Bittersweet, milk or dark. By these five ingredients we can start to make a chocolate chip cookies and furthermore we can add more ingredients such as vanilla, baking soda, baking powder or salt.
To work with chocolate chip cookies we need following ingredients: 1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter salted or unsalted at room temperatur, 3 4/ cup light or dark brown sugar, 1 large egg, 1 tsp vanilla extract, ¼ tea spoon salt, 1 cup plus ¼ cup flour, 1 cup chocolate chips .
Next preheat oven to 350 F while we mix butter and sugar until fluffy in a bowl with a stand mixer fitterd with paddle attachment. Add vanila and egg to the butter and sugar mixture and mix again until all inporporated. Stir in salt (if using), flour and chocolate chiops until all combined. But bear in mind that not to mix too long after the flour added since it wil lmake the cookies too tough.
Scoop 2 table spoons each onto ungreased cookies sheets. Do not put more than 9 cookies per set. Then bake at 350 F about 8 to 12 minutes or until just set on the edges. Finally, allow it to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 mintues before removal. The cookies will continue to cook or few minutes more on the sheets.
