Just prepare following ingredients: 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature. 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature, 1 cup light brown sugar, packed, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts and 1 1/4 pounds semisweet chocolate chunks.

As these ingredients ready, step the following directions. First preheat the oven to 350F and cream in the bowl of electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment. Add vanilla before eggs (one at a time) and mix them well. Sift together baking soda, salt and flour and add to butter on low speed mixer until well combined. Fold in the chocolate chunks and the walnuts.

Next drop the dough on a baking sheet previously lined with parchment paper (use a rounded tablespoon or 1 3/4-inch-diameter ice cream scoop). Dampen hands to flatten the dough slightly. Bake for 15 minutes and remove from oven to let them cool slightly on the pan before transferring to wire rack for complete cooling.

Other recipes may offer different ingredients to enrich the flavors. It is okay and it seems so great if we improvise with topping like cream or fruits. For more exotic taste perhaps we can try cinnamon or cashew to add in.
