Ingredients to be prepared include for cookie cups: 3/4 cup (150g) packed light brown sugar (or dark brown), 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature, 1 large egg, at room temperature preferred, 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar, 2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 teaspoons cornstarch (aka corn flour), 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour, 1 and 1/4 cup (225g) semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
